THIS IS HALLOWEEN!!!

HALLOWEEN IS BETWEEN FALL AND WINTER, BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH. iT IS A TIME OF SUPERSTITIONS AND CELETRATIONS!!! This period of time is full of fear for some people...haha... but for others it is one of the best times of the year!!!! Some people carve pumpkins and others try to pretend they are evil creatures ( ghosts, werewolves, vampires, etc)

1.-childen costumes have to confortable adn safe
2.-it's advisable that children to wear baggy sweats, long skirts and costumes made of paper or somethin similar
3.-because masks can obstruct children breathing. it's better that parents to paint child face
4.-it's recomended that children to go out with an adult, groups and stay in neighborhood
5.-children have to take flash lights and something fluorecent for that drivers can see children.

Pumpkins originated in central america(Mexico). The main producing states pumkins are Illionois Ohio Pennsylvania and California.

-Health
Pumpkins have a lot of potassium vitamin A and fiber. Their seeds have a lot of protein. 19 th century new englanders thought that pumpkins could cure: Snake bites, freckles, facial wrinkles, diarrhea in cats and dogs and strangury in men.

-Halloween´s use
People put them in the porch at nightfall on October 31, the mischief makers have 14 hours of darkness to smash them. We also make Jack o lantern (Punkins with scary face)

-Origin-
Halloween comes from the celts (2000 years):Samhain. The night of October 31 people celebrated the end of the harvest season. People believed that the dead returned as ghosts. They were honored guests with food and wine. The people used costumes and masks for chase bad spirits. The christian church celebrated all hallows/All saints day (November 1) in the 8TH century.

-Differences between halloween (USA) and Samhain-
Now american people give sweets to children. In USA not celebrated the end of the harvest season. American people also decorate pumkins, the celts decorated turnins.

-Economic evolution-
American people spend 2.5 billion dolars in costumes. They spend 6 billion dolars in sweets and costumes each year!! Halloween is the second feast day moer expensive after Christmas.

-Souling and guising-
Trick or treat. Children offer a song, a joke, card trick, or tell a story in exchange for candy or in the case of case of some wealthier households some money.

-Halloween´s origins
Halloween´s history started two thousand years ago, when the celts thought that the deads returned as ghosts in October thirty first, one day before a feast named Samhain.
In October 31, people put food and wine in their porchs for keep spirits running all day. Also, when they leaf home they used costumes to look as a spirit.
The Christiam Church changed Samhain into all saints day and into all hallows, in the 8 century.
This is the origin of the name Halloween, that was Hallow´s eve.

-Souling & Quising
In the Medieval Britain, in all sains day, on the november second, the people praid for the deceade, againts the plague and the famine and for the good weather, this was called souling.
Also, in the Medieval Britain´s Halloween, the childs dressed costumes, and request food, wine and money, in exchange for singing, for recite poetry or telling jokes, this was called guising.

-Halloween today
The people spends more than 2.5 billion dollars on costumes, and 6 billion dolars if we count the candy.Halloween is the second most comercial holiday, after christmas.

The history of the Halloween goes back to it does more than 2.500 years, when the Celtic year was ending at the end of the summer, precisely on October 31 of our calendar.
